Your questions answered

Here are some of the questions we're regularly asked by new applicants looking to join our team. We hope the information provided will help to answer your queries.

Is every vacancy shown on the website?

No. In fact, only one of each type of vacancy is shown for each site.

If I apply online, can I apply again via post?

No. All applications to join us made either by post or online, are held centrally on the same system. So, to avoid confusion (and duplication) we ask that you apply one way or the other.

Can I apply for more than one vacancy?

Yes, you can apply for as many vacancies as you wish. However, we do recommend that you think carefully about what you want to do and where you wish to work before applying.

How many CarShop sites can I apply for?

If the location of your choice has no suitable vacancies, you can change your application to another site.

If I am not successful can I apply again?

You can but, as we hold all records on our central system for a set period of time, you’ll need to wait six months after your initial application to do so.

What sort of hours will I be working?

Different roles require different working hours, so you should refer to the job specification for more information. Our sites are open 7 days a week, 363 days a year so you may be required to work evenings and/or weekends, however we do ensure that shifts are scheduled according to your needs and the needs of the business.
