Citroen C1 Review
A Citroen C1 is cheap to buy and fun to drive, the firm suspension ensuring great handling around twists and turns. At the same time, it can make for rough and ready progress around town, where you can hear – and feel – every bump on uneven surfaces.
Buy a used Citroen C1 from The Car Shop Megastore and you can choose from two engines: a nippy 1.0 litre petrol or a 1.4 diesel. The petrol is the pick of the bunch, punching well above its weight on motorways – although you do have to make full use of the 5-speed gearbox.
The cabin is fresh, funky and well built, with easy to use controls. The steering wheel is height adjustable and takes the speedometer with it, so you should always enjoy a comfy driving position and a clear view of the dials. You can get four adults in a Citroen C1, so long as they only pack their toothbrush – the boot is tiny, although folding down the 50/50 rear seats makes more space.
There are two levels of trim available – the three- or five-door vibe offers a CD player with MP3 socket, but the five-door Rhythm adds electric front windows, remote central locking and optional air conditioning.
