Citroen Picasso Review
Families looking for a modestly priced, medium sized MPV won’t be disappointed with a used Citroen Picasso from The Car Shop Megastore.
The 1.6 petrol models struggle when the car is fully loaded, but the 1.8 is much more lively. The 2.0 HDi turbodiesel is the most flexible option, with plenty of pull for overtaking on the motorway.
A Citroen Picasso has a comfortable ride without being too spongy, coping equally well on rutted city streets as on the motorway. Body roll can be a problem though, especially when fully loaded – which could be alarming for kids in the back!
The egg-shaped design means the Picasso has lots of space inside the cabin, although the seats are unsupportive and the steering column only adjusts for height so it can feel like driving a minibus. On the plus side, there’s lots of head and leg room and the three rear seats can be folded individually or removed all together to increase the already generous boot space.
Even the basic models include electric front windows, remote central locking and a CD player. More luxurious models add air conditioning, alloy wheels, cruise control and an electric sunroof.
