Ford Fiesta Review
Come to The Car Shop Megastore for a used Ford Fiesta and you can take your pick of 3- or 5-door models with a choice of six engines. The standard models offer 1.25, 1.4 and 1.6 petrol engines which are happy enough at low-speeds, but the extra pull of the 1.4 or 1.6 turbodiesels will come in handy overtaking on the motorway. The 2.0 ST hot hatch offers even more power.
The Ford Fiesta is one of the best-handling superminis on the market. The steering is sharp with lots of feedback, there’s good grip and body roll is kept to a minimum, but the ride may be a little firm for some at low speeds.
Running costs are reasonable across the entire range and the Fiesta put in a respectable performance in What Car’s 2005 JD Power customer satisfaction survey. In addition the Fiesta was awarded top honours for a supermini (along with the Nissan Micra) in What Car’s 2003 Security Supertest.
A used Ford Fiesta is also one of the most practical superminis available, with plenty of head- and legroom for four adults. The boot is a useful size and shape, with folding rear seats for extra practicality.
