CarShop scoops up "Retailer of the Year" at AutoTrader awards
Going up against over 13,000 car retailers, leading car supermarket, CarShop won “Retailer of the Year” at the 11thAuto Trader awards on July 19th 2018.
CarShop not only impressed the giants of the judging panel including experts from Compare the Market, Google and uSwitch to name a few, the award also took the opinion of thousands of automotive customers into consideration. Plus, the contenders were also subject to a comprehensive mystery shopper evaluation.
Claiming the award, CarShop excelled over 13,000 retailers that were put through an intense strategic process to evaluate the effectivity of their customer car-buying journey. First was the overview of the website, assessing the starting point of most customer journeys, which moved on to a series of live chat and email tests. The top competitors from these evaluations then had to shine in the showroom without warning when visited by mystery shoppers.
Taking all these points into consideration, CarShop was shortlisted along with the TC Harrison Group and City West Country before ultimately winning the award for the Retailer of the Year 2018 in the 200+ cars category.
Leo Nelson - Marketing and IT Director and Natasha Holland - Partner Marketing Manager, took to the stage to receive the award on behalf of CarShop.

Jason Bradbury, star of TV programme “The Gadget Show” was the big name for the evening, getting the event started with a great speech and a little glitz and glamour.
Natasha said: “Auto Trader put on an absolutely superb event today. There are a lot of great car retailers around the country, and the fact CarShop has come out on top is absolutely amazing.
“It’s great to see that the investment we have made in all of our stores to improve the customer experience and with our technology throughout the business has paid off.”
CarShop’s name was all over the award ceremony too. They were in the top 3 shortlist for the Customer Choice Award against Mike Brewer Motors and Peter Vardy Holdings, and their Social Media Executive, Jack Francis, was also in the top 3 shortlist for the Rising Star Award.
The event was held at Soane Hall, London, and featured speeches from Darren Moon - Auto Trader Sales and Service Director, Nick King - Auto Trader Insight Director and Le Etta Pearce - Auto Trader Sales and Service Director, who also announced the award winners.
