CarShop takes on the Snowdon triple challenge for charity
Colleagues from all over CarShop have raised £8,533.23 for our charity partner.
The team of ten completed the gruelling ‘Snowdon Triple Challenge’, a 36km course of steep climbs as well as challenging kayak and cycle routes, to raise vital funds for Global’s Make Some Noise.
Their fundraising venture included climbing 15km to the summit of Snowdon, Wales’ highest mountain, cycling 17km around the lake shore of Llyn Pardan and a 4km kayak.
Global’s Make Some Noise is a UK-wide charity that supports disadvantaged children, young people and their families by raising money to fund vital equipment and life-changing services. It also provides a platform for smaller charities that struggle to get heard and supports them with training to boost skills and sustainability.
By participating in the gruelling challenge and tackling the cycle, climb and kayak in just one day, CarShop colleagues have raised £6,037 for the charity and donations are still coming in.
CarShop’s charity initiative, CarShop Cares, was launched in 2016 and was designed to consolidate and celebrate the tremendous efforts of colleagues, customers and communities. CarShop Cares supports both national and smaller local charities, including Global’s Make Some Noise, and aims to provide vital contributions to positively impact the lives of children and young people across the UK.
We are all so proud of the CarShop Snowdon Team!
