One brave colleague smashes the Tour De CarShop


Last month [20-26 July] our very own CarShop employee, Mark Crowther cycled 779 miles across the UK, visiting each of our nine stores - all in aid of Global’s Make Some Noise.

The national charity is a great friend of ours that we are proud to support. The charity funds and empowers projects across the UK that help disadvantaged children, young people and their families.

To raise money for Global’s Make Some Noise, Mark, a Business Intelligence Pricing Analyst, embarked on the challenge which began at Leighton Buzzard. The mammoth bike ride took him to CarShop stores in Cardiff, Doncaster, Northampton, Swindon, Norwich, Sheffield, Wakefield, Manchester and Warrington.

Mark is seeking donations to Global’s Make Some Noise to be made through his CarShop Cares fundraising page. He was working towards a goal of £1,250 but has raised an amazing £1,505.09 during the tour – after which, CarShop donated a further £750, bringing the grand total of the donation to £2,316.68.

Following his tour around the UK, Mark commented: ‘When I started planning for tour de CarShop six months ago, I had no idea how it would go and how it would be received at the stores, I just wanted to be able to make a difference to those disadvantaged children and families through my passion for cycling."

“The messages of encouragement helped me through the difficult times and the experience of tour de CarShop has given me memories that will stay with me forever.”
