Who dressed ‘loudest’ for Global’s Make Some Noise day?
Colleagues from all over CarShop “dress loud” on Global’s Make Some Noise Day to raise money for disadvantaged children across the UK.
This year, in support of the charity’s Global Make Some Noise Day 2019, which took place on Friday 11th October, CarShop colleagues dressed as “loudly” as they could to fundraise.
All nine stores across the country went head-to-head with their outfits, with colleagues in each location competing as a team for the title of “best dressed”. Cardiff store took the title of Best Store for their fantastic outfits and efforts on the day.
Overall, CarShop raised £2,052 for the charity with their loud dressing event, adding up to a total of over £26,000 raised for Global’s Make Some Noise in 2019 so far. CarShop colleagues are even allowed a day off per year to go out and complete charity work themselves, as long as it supports their national charity partner.
CarShop has partnered with national charity, Global’s Make Some Noise, since September 2016 and, in those last three years, the CarShop Cares programme has supported the charity with events such as Tour De CarShop, 3 peak challenge, Snowdon Triple and their Pink Coin initiative. Adding the dressing loud event, the total raised during the partnership is now over £185,000.
The charity improves the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK by funding local projects and supporting smaller charities that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Not only have staff been helping us in the call centres on Make Some Noise Day, but colleagues have been putting themselves through gruelling challenges and fundraising events all year.
“As our longest standing corporate partner, we are very grateful to CarShop and their customers for their consistent support. Over the last three years it has ensured that we’ve been able to help so many projects and improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK”.
