Through continually adapting to the environment and demands and needs of customers, CarShop has managed to deliver success where others have fallen-short. With years of experience now behind them, CarShop has evolved to become one of THE leading used car retailers in the UK.

With five star ratings on review sites, CarShop has a strategic agenda that centres on exceptional customer experience. CarShop is motivating, progressive, market-leading and most importantly…growing. CarShop now has five (soon to be six) retail stores in operation offering customers a choice of all major manufacturers makes and models, with up to 4,000 in group stock at any one time.

With over 500 proud colleagues, CarShop has identified that having a colleague-centric strategy in operation is fundamental to achieving their objective of being “The Best CarShop in Town”. CarShop are continuing to invest heavily in their people, and by listening to feedback from colleagues have designed and produced a brand new framework to underpin every aspect of their people strategy. This new strategy focuses on competency indictors, defining the knowledge and skills required to manage, assess and progress performance. As CarShop concentrates on working hard to deliver an unrivalled experience now and in the future, investment in colleagues is viewed as essential.

As part of the re-vamped strategy CarShop have also introduced a Development Journey for colleagues; a clear path which defines development opportunities and benchmarks within the business. This has been created to not only create a more user-friendly journey, but so colleagues become more engaged within their role. Having that crucial engagement factor will generate an enjoyable working atmosphere, where colleagues are motivated to actively challenge themselves and work harder to deliver that all-important experience for the customer.
