Hat-Trick for CarShop as Support for the Canaries Enters A Third Year

CarShop embraces its ongoing support of the Norwich City Football Club Academy Jackpot.

We are pleased to announce that our sponsorship with Norwich City Football Club’s Academy Jackpot will be continuing for a third year running. In honour of this, we’ve gone all ‘Canary’, as we’re sporting a canary-coloured uniform over the next week.

Following on from two successful seasons of sponsorship, we see our tie with the Academy Jackpot as being instrumental in supporting the local area. We support the great work the Academy does, not just within Norwich, but for youth sport in general.

For the past two years, as part of the sponsorship, we’ve hosted an extremely popular and successful Academy Jackpot training day, giving the children of Norwich the opportunity to train with some of the Academy coaches and stars – last year even saw Norwich City’s club captain, Russell Martin, getting involved. We are very excited about to announce another training day will be taking place this year, and plan to launch a competition on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/carshopuk) later on in the year.

Jon Maltby, CarShop Norwich Operations Manager, commented: “Having only recently transferred to the Norwich store from CarShop’s Cardiff branch, I’ve been on a massive learning curve.

“One thing which has been really noticeable, and which has impressed me, is the sense of community spirit prevalent throughout Norwich. The Norwich store has a lot of local relationships, and does a lot for the area, and it’s really great to see that the team will happily get behind local causes.

“The relationship we hold with the Academy Jackpot is one which really excites me, and I see massive potential to develop our relationship, and make it even stronger over the next eighteen months. I have loads of ideas, and I really can’t wait to get the team behind the Academy Jackpot and the training day.”

Our ongoing sponsorship will see our Norwich store host the £15,000 prize handover sessions, located opposite Asda on the corner of Boundary Road and Drayton Road.
